Despite several weather-related delays, progress continues on the construction of JM鈥檚 new production plant in Hillsboro, Texas. This month, the first tilt wall panels were set in place.
The project, internally referred to as 鈥淧roject Maverick,鈥 broke ground in September 2020. Soon after, the nearby Dallas-Fort Worth area experienced everything from heavy rains in late 2020 to an unprecedented snowstorm last month that resulted in a massive power outage that impacted the entire state for more than a week.
鈥淐hallenges aside, our general contractor continues to make good progress to keep the project on track to provide JM access to the building at the end of May to start assembly of the manufacturing line,鈥 said Bruce Ringstrand, Group Manager of Capital Engineering.
An extension of 麻豆直播app Drive and the water and sewer lines along it 鈥 all being handled by the city of Hillsboro 鈥 are forecast to be completed by early August.
The plant is slated to be fully complete and begin production in 2022. It will manufacture polyiso products including ENRGY 3庐 roof insulation, ProtectoR庐 HD high density cover board, AP庐 Foil Faced Foam sheathing and GoBoard庐 tile backer. These products are preferred in the market due to their high R-value per inch and the strength and durability they offer.
When complete, the Hillsboro plant will employ more than 50 people and include a JM roofing distribution center. The warehouse will stock many JM products, including TPO and accessories to expand customer service. FA Peinado Construction is the general contractor and Martin-Tomlinson Roofing will install the JM roofing system beginning at the end of March.
