Our new Plant Manager,听Josh Canada, has joined the JM family in Hillsboro, TX.听Josh will be听responsible for building the plant staff and executing activities with the听project team leading to a successful startup of the plant in the beginning of听2022.听
Prior to听joining JM, Josh was the Director of Human Resources for ResourceCare in听Abilene, Texas.听In this role Josh led talent acquisition for physicians,听dentists, and mid-level providers.听Prior to this, Josh had a 19-year听career with Bridgestone holding various positions in operations including听Supply Chain Global Planning Analyst, Process Engineer, Operations Manager,听Plant Manager, and Divisional Manager.听
Josh comes to听JM with extensive knowledge in managing multi-site plant operations, plant听start up activities, team building and development, continuous improvement听systems, implementation of six sigma and lean principles, and building a safety听culture.
Josh recently听brought on two internal candidates. Materials Manager, Brad Smiley (Grand听Prairie DC) and Plant Engineer, Dominick Phillips (Scottsboro, AL). The remaining听staff will be brought on board in the coming weeks as the building construction听is completed, the production line is installed, and the Grand Prairie DC听transitions to the new site.
鈥淭he most听critical aspect of our success in Hillsboro is that we hire skilled individuals听that fit the JM culture. It will be a group effort working with HR, the Maverick听project team, and other JM subject matter experts to select the best candidates听for staff positions. We are planning to host a larger scale event with the听local Workforce Solutions office to support the hiring of production, warehouse,听and maintenance technicians," says Josh.
The building听construction is nearing听听OMS will听continue the equipment install, working through the holiday weekend to assure听project milestones are achieved.听completion within the next couple of months. Currently,听the exterior is听being painted. The office interior construction is well听underway including听drywall, electrical, and HVAC.听The production line听installation began this week听and we are very excited to begin to see the final stages of the build.
