At our office听in Littleton, Colorado, our JM Green Team focuses on ways that our employees听can be more sustainable both at work and at home. In 2016, the team started听it鈥檚 first beehive. In past years, a JM employee was managing the beekeeping听for two beehives on campus. There were some years that the hive would thrive and other years where it did not. In 2021, the team decided to sign on with a听company to manage a new hive, Best Bees. Having a bee hive on is one small but impactful initiative that we can do to support our听future and the growth of the environment. See it in action here:

The Best Bees company also provides us with a break down of the pollen from our hive. It is really informational on what local plant provide the best pollonation for our little bee hive.

Other听activities you and your company can do for Earth day is schedule a local听cleanup, donate lightly used pet supplies to a local pet shelter, host a e-waste听recycling day, find or start a ,听participate in a community garden, recycle junk mail, and more. There are also little听every-day things that you can start doing at home such as composting, switching听out paper towels for Swedish dish cloths and bamboo 鈥減aper鈥� products, using听detergent sheets instead of the liquid or powder, and switching to听shampoo/conditioner bars instead of buying bottles. Fun fact, bamboo is the听fastest-growing plant on Earth.

We are alwayslooking for ideas to share. More and more companies are producing products that听are more sustainable between their manufacturing process and/or the end result听on the product鈥檚 waste.
