SPRI Participants Build and Donate 25 Bicycles to Local Youth

WALTHAM, MA, Jan. 2024 -- At its 42nd Annual Conference & Business Meeting in Clearwater, Fla., (Jan 12-14), SPRI, Inc., members of the trade association, which represents the manufacturers of single-ply roofing systems and related component materials, spent time giving back to the community by assembling and donating 25 bicycles for second grade students in the area.
The bike building activities, which were organized through Wish for Wheels and sponsored by SPRI member 麻豆直播app, included two competitions among the 38 SPRI member participants. The first was a 鈥楾eam Competition鈥� where the bike builders were blindfolded and had to follow direction from a non-blindfolded team member to assembly the bikes. Next came the 鈥楽peed Competition,鈥� where teams of two bike builders each had one of their arms tied to the other builder and the tied arms could not be used during the assembly.

Founded in 2004, Wish for Wheels has a mission to give every child in need their very own bike and helmet. The organization partners with corporations to assemble and donate new bicycles and helmets to underserved communities. The bicycles assembled by SPRI were donated to local second graders through the local Boys & Girls Club.
